The Mountaineers' strong showing in the first half gave them a 3-0 advantage heading into the break. EOU wasted no time, with Daniel Kropf opening the scoring at the 8:45 mark, assisted by Angel Sandoval. The Mountaineers doubled their lead in the 19th minute when Sandoval found the back of the net off a Manuel Rodriguez assist. Milton Hernandez extended the lead to 3-0 with a strike at 35:01, ensuring Eastern Oregon's control going into halftime. La Sierra narrowed the gap in the second half with a goal by Damian Romero at 59:29, assisted by Christopher Aceves, but the Eagles were unable to add to their tally.
