Cascade Connects: Men’s Soccer Preview

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Today, one game sets off the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer season. This weekend the remaining teams will compete as the schedule fully starts. This will begin the battle to determine the regular season champion and the first CCC automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NAIA Tournament. The champion of the CCC Men’s Soccer Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, will earn the CCC’s second AQ.
 
Bushnell University enters the CCC season on top of the standings with a 4-0-1 record and will kick off hosting Corban University today. The Beacons have secured two CCC Player of the Week honors and have scored 11 goals which is currently tied for first in the conference.
 
Corban University begins conference play today with a short trip to Eugene, Ore., to face Bushnell while holding a 1-4 record. The Warriors currently lead the conference in saves with 23 total.
 
Southern Oregon University was chosen on top of the CCC preseason poll and is currently ranked No. 22 in the latest NAIA Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Raiders have a 3-2 overall record and will start the conference season hosting Multnomah.
 
Multnomah will face Southern Oregon on Friday to kick off the conference season with an even 2-2 record. The Lions have earned two CCC Player of the Week honors and currently lead the conference in goals per game (2.75 avg).
 
College of Idaho is the reigning CCC Tournament Champions and ranked No. 2 in the CCC preseason poll. C of I is holding 2-0-1 conference record as it heads into the conference season hosting Northwest. The Yotes have two shutouts which is currently tied for first in the conference.
 
Northwest University is slated to start its CCC season against College of Idaho with a 2-3 overall record.
 
Warner Pacific University received votes in the latest NAIA Poll and will kick off the season against Oregon Tech on Friday with a 4-1 record. The Knights lead the conference in shots (71), points (36), and assists (14).
 
Oregon Tech currently holds a 3-2 overall record and is set to host Warner Pacific on Friday.
 
Eastern Oregon University is 1-1 this season and will begin conference play hosting The Evergreen State College.
 
The Evergreen State College is looking for its first win as it kicks off the CCC season against Eastern Oregon on Friday.
 
Carroll College starts the CCC season with a 1-1-2 record and is set to host Rocky Mountain College.
 
Rocky Mountain College enters the conference season with a 1-2 record and will face Carroll on Friday.
 
University of Providence holds a 1-2 record and is set to start the new CCC season off hosting Walla Walla.
 
Walla Walla University will kick off its season on Friday against Providence.
