CORVALLIS, Ore. – Today, one game sets off the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer season. This weekend the remaining teams will compete as the schedule fully starts. This will begin the battle to determine the regular season champion and the first CCC automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NAIA Tournament. The champion of the
CCC Women’s Soccer Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, will earn the CCC’s second AQ.
Bushnell University enters the CCC season with a 2-4 record and will kick off hosting Corban University today.
Corban University begins conference play today with a short trip to Eugene, Ore., to face Bushnell while holding a 3-2-1 record.
College of Idaho was chosen to defend its crown in the
CCC preseason poll and is currently ranked No. 13 in the latest
NAIA Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Yotes have a 2-0-2 overall record and goalkeeper Alivia Brenchley has secured two CCC Player of the Week honors. C of I will start the conference season with a rematch of the 2023 CCC Women’s Soccer Championship against Northwest University.
Northwest University claimed the runner up title in last year’s CCC Championship and ranked No. 4 in the CCC preseason poll. The Eagles won its lone counting contest to currently claim the top spot in the conference standings as they prepare to match up against the Yotes on Friday.
Eastern Oregon University ranked No. 2 in the CCC preseason poll and received votes in the latest NAIA preseason poll. The Mounties are 1-1-2 this season and will begin conference play hosting The Evergreen State College.
The Evergreen State College is looking for its first win as it kicks off the CCC season against Eastern Oregon on Friday.
Oregon Tech currently holds the most wins as it begins CCC play with a 4-1-1 overall record. OIT is leading the conference statistically in shots (89), points (33), goals (12), and assists (9). The Owls received votes in the latest NAIA preseason poll and is set to host Warner Pacific University on Friday.
Warner Pacific University is slated to start its CCC season against Oregon Tech with a 2-2-1 overall record.
Carroll College ranked No. 3 in the CCC preseason poll and starts the CCC season with a 2-1-1 record. Maria Ackerman has earned an NAIA Defensive Player of the Week honor, and the Fighting Saints lead the conference in saves with 30 total. Carroll is set to host Rocky Mountain College.
Rocky Mountain College enters the conference season with a 2-1 record and will face Carroll on Friday.
Southern Oregon University is holding a strong 3-1 record as it heads into the conference season hosting Multnomah. SOU leads the CCC in goals per game (2.75 avg) and is ranked No. 2 in points (28) and goals (11).
Multnomah will face Southern Oregon on Friday to kick off the conference season with a 2-2-2 record.
University of Providence holds a 2-1-1 record and is set to kick off the new CCC season strong against Rocky on Sunday.
