CORVALLIS, Ore. – The College of Idaho’s Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams were named the Under Armour Co-Teams of the Week for September 16 – 22, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The College of Idaho’s Men’s and Women’s cross country teams took both team titles this weekend in Portland, Ore., in the CCC Preview Meet.
The Yotes had four runners finish in the top 10 of the women’s 6k, with Kahea Figueira leading the way with a runner-up finish, recording a time of 21:54.06. Followed closely behind Figueria were Juila Gilbert, Kylee Quinton, and Molly Connor. Gilbert and Quinton finished in 5th and 6th place, with times of 22:25.03 and 22:27.61 respectively. Connor rounded out the group with a time of 23:03.91, finishing the race in 8th place. As a team, No. 6-ranked College of Idaho won the team race with a score of 21.
The Yotes swept the top three places in the 8k race, first by Daniel Butler, second by Hayden Bostrom, and third by Elias Everist. Butler finished with a time of 24:32.67, followed by Bostrom with a PR of 24:40.04, and Everist with a time of 24:42.44. With six runners in the top 15, College of Idaho scored 31 points to earn the team title.
Next up, C of I is headed back to Oregon in two weeks to compete at the Charles Bowles Invitational.
