KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Darian Herring of Lewis-Clark State College has been named the NAIA Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. She was selected based on their performances from January 6 - 12 and were chosen out of a pool of conference/Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)/unaffiliated group nominees.
Herring, a sophomore forward from Deer Park, Wash., helped the Warriors to two victories over Bushnell University (71-50) and Corban University (94-48). She recorded 22 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks, and five steals on top of 22 points in 56 total minutes played. She Notched the first triple-double (13 reb - 10 assists - 16 pts) in school history vs Corban.
Next up, the Warriors have a tough road weekend against No. 4-ranked Southern Oregon University and (RV) Oregon Tech.
