CCC Players of the Week Announced

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following 10 CCC student-athletes have been recognized as the Cascade Collegiate Conference Players of the Week for their performances during competition from January 20 – 26, 2025.

Men’s Basketball – Defensive
Multnomah’s Noah McCord was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

McCord, a junior forward from Saratoga Springs, Utah, scored the winning basket in the Lions 86-84 overtime victory over Bushnell University. Over the weekend he recorded 28 rebounds, eight steals, and a block on top of 29 points in 79 total minutes played.

Men’s Basketball – Offensive
Warner Pacific University’s Tre'von Cason was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.

Cason, a junior guard from Eatonville, Florida, led the Knights to two stellar wins over Bushnell University (78-76) and Corban University (88-66). He shot 56.0 percent from the field with 44 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks in 54 total minutes played.

Women’s Basketball – Defensive
No. 4-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Meghan McIntyre was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

McIntyre, a senior guard from Long Beach, Calif., helped the Raiders maintain its undefeated record with two more victories over Eastern Oregon University (67-55) and College of Idaho (58-51). She recorded six rebounds, six steals, and two blocks on top of 22 points in 67 total minutes played.

Women’s Basketball – Offensive
Bushnell University’s Ellis Mastel was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.

Mastel, a freshman forward from Red Lodge, Mont., had a huge weekend for the Beacons, helping lead to two wins over Warner Pacific University (70-68) and Multnomah (75-63). She recorded a 62.9 field goal percentage with 49 total points. She also added 22 rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 67 total minutes played.

Men's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 14-ranked Montana State University-Northern’s Kolton Powers was named the CCC Men’s Wrestler of the Week.

Powers (125lbs), a sophomore from Sheridan, Wyo., is ranked No. 18 in his weight class and had a stellar weekend at the Missouri Valley Tournament. He recorded two pins and a tech fall on top of two decision victories on his way to a third place finish, helping the Lights to a second place team finish.

Women's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 17-ranked Eastern Oregon University’s Liv Wieber was named the CCC Women’s Wrestler of the Week.

Wieber (145lbs), a junior from Boise, Idaho, is ranked No. 3 in her weight class and continued her dominant season at the Warrior Open. She went 4-1 to claim second place at the highly competitive tournament, defeating No. 13-ranked Maia Crumb (No. 7 Indiana Tech) with the lone loss coming from No. 2-ranked Emma Walker (No. 9 Campbellsville).

Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Athlete
Lewis-Clark State College’s Griffen Parsells was named the CCC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Parsells, a senior runner from Rheinland Pfalz, Germany, had a speedy weekend at the Lauren McCluskey Open. He finished second in the 800m with a time of 1:52.58 for an “A” Standard, career best, and currently ranks No. 7 in the NAIA this season.

Men’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Athlete
Eastern Oregon University’s Justin Krabbenhoft was named the CCC Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Krabbenhoft, a senior multi event athlete from Metaline Falls, Wash., earned first place in the Lauren McCluskey men's heptathlon, amassing 5,140 points. His total ranks third in EOU history and currently stands as the No. 2 mark in the NAIA this season.

Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Track Athlete
Lewis-Clark State College’s Emily Collins was named the CCC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Collins, a junior runner from Lewiston, Idaho, achieved two “B” Standards at the Lauren McCluskey Open this weekend. She ran the 400m leg of the DMR, helping reach fourth place with a time of 12:19.98. She then finished first in the 600m, reaching a personal record with a time of 1:35.35 which currently ranks No. 7 in the NAIA this season.
 
Women’s Indoor Track & Field – Field Athlete
Lewis-Clark State College’s Sydnie Zywina was named the CCC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Zywina, a senior jumper from Orofino, Idaho, had a fantastic outing at the Lauren McCluskey Open this weekend. She finished as the top competitor in the triple jump with a distance of 12.02m to reach an “A” Standard and land as the No. 3 mark in the NAIA this season.
