CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Corban University volleyball team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for October 13 – 19, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
Corban concluded a landmark weekend that included a historic upset of the nation’s top-ranked team and another ranked win to remain unbeaten at home in 2025. The Warriors, ranked No. 8 in the latest NAIA coaches’ poll, improved to 17-4 overall and 11-3 in CCC play, tied for second in the conference standings.
In front of their largest home crowd in five years, Corban handed No. 1 Eastern Oregon University its first loss of the season with a four-set victory, 25-22, 22-25, 25-14, 31-29. Emma Bischoff, Kendra Bittle, and Gracie Boeder powered the offense with 19, 14, and 13 kills respectively, while Abby Guindy tallied 30 assists and 10 digs in a double-double performance. Kaile’a Ontai led the defense with 19 digs as the Warriors extended their home winning streak to 20 matches.
The following night, Corban carried its momentum into another top 20 matchup, defeating No. 19 College of Idaho in four sets, 22-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-23. The Warriors dominated the net with a 15-5 blocking advantage, led by Boeder’s nine block assists, while Makayla Roginski posted a team-high 15 kills. Both setters, Guindy and Nadeiah Howard, recorded double-doubles, and Ontai again anchored the back row with 28 digs. With the win over C of I, Kim McLain became the winningest head coach in program history.
The Warriors remain perfect at home this season and continue to establish themselves among the NAIA’s elite as they push toward the final stretch of the CCC schedule. Next weekend, Corban will head to Washington to face The Evergreen State College and No. 18 Northwest University.
