CORVALLIS, Ore. –
The following 11 Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for their performances during competition from October 20 – October 27, 2025.
Men’s Golf – Golfer
College of Idaho’s Lucas Rynearson was named the CCC Men’s Golfer of the Week.
Rynearson (69-71 – 140), a junior from Fruitland, Idaho, claimed the individual title at the Warrior Fall Invitational, finishing with an eagle and eight birdies to secure the victory.
Women’s Golf – Golfer
(RV) Lewis-Clark State College’s Giulia Belfontali was named the CCC Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Belfontali (79-71 – 150), a sophomore from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, earned the individual title at the Warrior Fall Invitational. She was the only golfer to shoot a round under par and then secured the victory with a one-hole playoff win, helping lead LC State to the team title as well.
Men’s Cross Country – Runner
No. 4-ranked College of Idaho’s Isaac Anttonen was named the CCC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Anttonen, a sophomore from Boise, Idaho, took fifth place out of 341 runners at the Blazing Tiger Classic. He completed the 8K in 24:59.72, leading the Yotes to a second place team finish.
Women’s Cross Country – Runner
No. 9-ranked College of Idaho’s Cazier, was named the CCC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Cazier, a junior from Twin Falls, Idaho, took fourth place out of 275 runners at the Blazing Tiger Classic. She completed the 6K in 21:37.57, leading the Yotes to a team title by over 30 points.
Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player
(RV) Carroll College’s Juan Muniz Navarrete was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Muniz Navarrete, a senior goalkeeper from Hermiston, Ore., anchored the Fighting Saints to two more shutouts against Warner Pacific University and Walla Walla University, totaling five saves while playing full time in goal for both clean sheets.
Men’s Soccer – Offensive Player
College of Idaho’s Eric Hornung was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Hornung, a senior midfielder from Nuremberg, Germany, scored four goals and added three assists to lead the Yotes to a dominant 9-1 win over the University of Providence, finishing with 11 points and a .714 shot-on-goal percentage.
Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player
(RV) Southern Oregon University’s Miller Bertani was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Bertani, a senior defender from San Jose, Calif., guided the Raiders to a pair of shutout wins over Corban University and Bushnell University, anchoring the backline that held both opponents to just four combined shots on goal while also contributing a goal of her own.
Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player
(RV) Southern Oregon University’s Brooklyn Hayes was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Hayes, a junior forward from Cameron Park, Calif., powered the Raiders to a pair of shutout wins over Corban University and Bushnell University, netting four goals against the Warriors and finishing the weekend with eight points and a .667 shot-on-goal percentage.
Volleyball – Attacker
No. 19-ranked College of Idaho’s Mia Hutchinson was named the CCC Attacker of the Week.
Hutchinson, a senior outside hitter from Star Valley, Wy., led the Yotes to a pair of wins over (RV) Southern Oregon University (3-2) and Oregon Tech (3-0). She tallied 33 kills (4.13 k/s) with just six errors for an impressive .429 attack percentage. She also contributed 22 digs, three blocks, and a service ace in a strong all-around performance.
Volleyball – Defender
(RV) Southern Oregon University’s Tessa Zimmermann was named the CCC Defender of the Week.
Zimmermann, a junior middle blocker from Albany, Ore., led the Raiders to a dominant 3-1 victory over No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon University. She posted 11 blocks (1.22 b/s) and added nine error-free kills in a strong weekend performance.
Volleyball – Setter
(RV) Walla Walla University’s Yaimaris Garcia was named the CCC Setter of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Garcia, a freshmen setter from Camaguey, Cuba, guided the Wolves to a pair of shutouts over No. 11-ranked Lewis-Clark State College and Warner Pacific University. She totaled 61 assists (10.17 a/s) along with 10 digs, eight service aces, three kills, and three blocks in a well-rounded performance.
