CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 9-ranked College of Idaho women’s cross country team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for October 20 – 26, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The C of I women’s cross country team continued its impressive fall season with another dominant performance, capturing the team title at the Blazing Tiger Classic.
The Yotes placed four runners inside the top 10 and five within the top 20 to finish with just 42 points, more than 30 points ahead of the runner-up team. Junior Rozzlyn Cazier led the way with a fourth-place finish (21:37.58), followed closely by Julia Gilbert (5th, 21:59.87), Ainsley Bowen (6th, 22:05.44), and Kylee Quinton (8th, 22:07.04). Freshman Paiten Braseth completed the scoring effort in 19th place (22:30.79).
With yet another strong team showing, the nationally ranked Yotes continue to build momentum heading into the championship portion of their season. The CCC Cross Country Championships will take place on November 7th in Independence, Oregon.
