CORVALLIS, Ore. – Southern Oregon University has been selected as the preseason favorite for the 2026 CCC Softball Preseason Poll, released on Thursday by the conference office.
The Raiders collected eight first-place votes and 80 total points to land atop the preseason rankings. SOU shared the 2025 CCC regular-season championship with Oregon Tech before capturing the ultimate prize, the 2025 NAIA National Championship title.
Oregon Tech followed in second with one first-place vote and 71 points after its co-regular season championship and national tournament appearance. Eastern Oregon University, which won the CCC Tournament Championship last year, ranked third with 68 points.
The University of British Columbia and the College of Idaho tied for fourth with 54 points each. British Columbia finished as the CCC Tournament runner-up and both teams advanced to the national tournament, contributing to a dominant showing by the conference that saw five teams earn NAIA postseason berths.
Simpson University placed sixth with 42 points in the program's first season with the CCC, followed by Bushnell University with 37 points. Warner Pacific University and Corban University rounded out the poll with 36 and 24 points, respectively.
