COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. — Jordan Jackson had a team-high 29 points for the Walla Walla Men's Basketball team, but the Wolves lost to NCAA Division-III opponent Whitman 87-74 on Wednesday.
Jackson was 12-of-20 from the field and had four 3-pointers in a scoring performance that is the most by a WWU player this season. The senior added three rebounds and two steals for Walla Walla (0-4). Reese Snellman had a career night with 18 points and four steals.
Kieran Clasen was strong inside with 10 points, nine rebounds and six blocks. The six blocks is a WWU single game record since the Wolves joined the NAIA in 2009.
Whitman (1-0) was led by big man Jacob Fotu who had 29 points on 12-of-18 shooting with three 3s. Milos Sarenac added 17 points and 15 rebounds for the Blues.
