LA GRANDE, Ore. – Five set battles send Bushnell and Walla Walla to the Semifinals of the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament, Presented by U.S. Bank.
No. 3 seed Bushnell University def. No. 8 seed Northwest University, 3-2
No. 3 seed Bushnell outlasted No. 8 seed Northwest in a five set battle to advance to the semifinals (25-15, 21-25, 23-25, 31-29, 16-14). Hailey Heider powered the Beacons with 28 kills and 15 digs, while Emma Fa'alogo ran the offense with 38 assists. Bushnell held a strong offensive edge, finishing with 83 kills and a .236 attack percentage. The Eagles were paced by standout defensive play from Ellie Van Berkum, who posted 30 digs. Northwest ended its conference postseason run at 16-12 overall. With the victory, Bushnell moves on to face No. 2 seed Corban University in Friday’s 5 p.m. semifinal match of the 2025 CCC Volleyball Championship Tournament.
No. 7 seed Walla Walla University def. No. 4 seed College of Idaho, 3-2
No. 7 seed Walla Walla pulled off a five-set upset over No. 4 seed College of Idaho to advance to the semifinals (20-28, 27-25, 25-27, 19-25, 15-11). Sahara Browning delivered a standout performance with 29 kills and 19 digs, while Yaimaris Garcia fueled the attack with 51 assists, seven blocks, and six service aces. The Wolves held a 66-45 advantage in kills on the night. The Yotes were paced by Brooke Garman with 14 kills. College of Idaho finished its conference tournament run with a 18-10 overall record. With the victory, Walla Walla moves on to face top-seeded Eastern Oregon on Friday at 2 p.m. on the Mountaineers home court.
