CCC Soccer Championships Bring Great Economic Impact to Medford

CORVALLIS, Ore. – When Medford, Ore., was chosen as the host city for the 2024 and 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships, local planners were hoping the event would bring in approximately $200,000 in local spending annually. Each year doubled the estimates, with the 2024 economic impact $424,036, and 2025 $436,817, according to the City of Medford calculations.

“The reception the CCC has received in Medford has been truly exceptional,” stated Conference Commissioner Robert Cashell. “The facilities at Lithia & Driveway Fields are first-class, and the teamwork between the City of Medford, Travel Medford, the local Sports Commission, the RV Timbers, and Table Rock Sports shows what can be accomplished to attract events to a community.”

The 16-team, eight men’s and eight women’s, tournaments serve as a qualifier to the NAIA National Championships and bring teams to the Rogue Valley from Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington to compete at Lithia & Driveway Fields. Over five days, 14 games decide the Conference Tournament Champions and the teams advancing to the national stage.

Following the two highly successful years, the Cascade Conference has extended the agreement to include the 2026 and 2027 Championships.

“The CCC Championships have exceeded every expectation, not only on the field but throughout our community,” said Darren Van Lehn, Director of Sport Development for Travel Medford. “The economic impact, the visitor traffic, and the excitement it brings to Medford underscore how important events like this are for our region. We are proud to provide a world class experience for the student athletes and fans and look forward to continuing to work with the Cascade Conference in the seasons to come.”

The 2026 Conference Tournaments will be held on November 7th, 9th, and 11th at Lithia & Driveway fields in Medford, Oregon.
