BUCKEYE, Ariz. – A second day of heat continued to wear on the Corban University Women's Golf team, as the Warriors find themselves in 12th among the twelve teams in attendance at the Firestorm Fall Classic at the Verrado Golf Club with one round still to be played out early tomorrow morning.

"Our ladies played much better today but unfortunately didn't score much better from a team perspective," explained Warriors' head coach Charlie Marshall. "The desert claimed victory once again, we're hoping to rebound tomorrow in our final round of the fall season."

The day two lead for No. 14-ranked Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (586) grew slightly for the team title contention, yet No. 25-ranked Oregon Tech fell from the runner-up spot to fourth in the team standings, allowing University of British Columbia Okanagan (591) and RV Arizona Christian (598) to hope into second and third, respectively. UBC Okanagan's Julia Alexander Carew still clings to the individual lead, but both ERAU's Bellamaria Mantini and Emma Marshall are one stroke back entering the final round tomorrow morning.

Corban women's golf (715) had their team round scores increase by a single stroke between days one and two, with CCC members Bushnell University and Southern Oregon University just right above them in the team standings. Dropping her day one round score from 87 to 85 allowed Warriors' sophomore Yaone Mokgatle (172) to rise from 48th to 41st today, while sophomore Madeline Moore (179) is seven strokes behind Mokgatle in 53rd. True freshman Jaycie Moubray (181) is in a tie for 54th, with sophomores Ashlyn Thomas (183) and Kaylee Umbright (215) in 56th and 58th, respectively.

One final round sits between the Warrior women's golf team and the winter break, as they'll look to finish the 2025 fall season on a high note in the Firestorm Fall Classic finale, which will tee off at 7am.
