BUCKEYE, Ariz. – For a second-consecutive round, the Corban University Men's Golf team wrapped up play with yet another better team score than the day prior, as they wrapped up play at the Firestorm Fall Classic, hosted by Arizona Christian University, with a better round score than four other teams in attendance, including a Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) rival.

"Great day for our men!" Corban head coach Charlie Marshall enthusiastically shared. "David went one under on the day and along with Brayden, Isaac, and Owen, helped us post a sub-300 team score. We got better each round this week. Hats off to my assistant coach for the week, Andy, who worked his tail off the past three days."
Consistent play across the three-day tourney allowed No. 20-ranked Texas Wesleyan University (855) to finish atop the team standings and claim the Firestorm Fall Classic title, with No. 16-ranked Ottawa University-Arizona (861) earning the runner-up position six strokes behind the Rams. Fellow CCC member RV Oregon Tech (875) tied for fourth and had a phenomenal come-from-behind run by Jack Tieman, who finished the day four-under par to claim the individual medalist honors after beginning the day in sixth.
No further advancement up the team leaderboard for the Warrior (929) on the final day, yet finished a with overall round score lower than Bushnell University, Benedictine University at Mesa, St. Thomas University Texas, and Dakota Wesleyan University, led by junior David Harvey's round of 71 to finish eleven placements better than he started the day in a three-way tie for 57th. Senior Brayden Sparkman (224) had the most consistent week of play across the Navy and Gold, finishing in a tie for 38th with true freshman Isaac Laro (228) four strokes back of Sparkman in a crowded five-man field for 47th. Junior Owen Heath (245) was the fourth Warrior to finish higher than where he started the day in 73rd, while senior Shane Jacobus (266) finished in 79th overall.
Warrior men's golf will take the winter break and make their next appearance in the spring slate, with the next event on their calendar marked as the Warner Pacific Spring Invite on April 13th and 14th. However, Coach Marshall will share additional tournament dates between today and their next scheduled date as spring season approaches.
