2025-26 CCC Women’s Basketball Preview

CORVALLIS, Ore.  The 2025-26 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball season officially tips off tonight with one matchup on the slate. By Friday, all 11 teams will be in action as the full schedule gets underway. This marks the start of the race for the CCC regular season title and the first automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NAIA National Tournament. The winner of the CCC Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, will earn the conference’s second AQ.

No. 22-ranked Corban University will host Bushnell University tonight to tip off the regular season. The Warriors are off to one of the strongest starts in program history, entering conference play undefeated with seven wins. Corban leads the CCC in field-goal percentage (47.6%), points per game (87.1) and assists per game (18.6). The Beacons open conference play at 1-6. Corban will then travel to face Warner Pacific University on Thursday. The Knights enter with a 3-4 non-conference record.

On Friday, the remaining CCC teams take the courts.

(RV) Eastern Oregon University is currently sitting atop the conference at 8-0 and will host No. 10-ranked Lewis-Clark State College (6-2) in one of the week’s most anticipated matchups. Defensively, EOU has held opponents to a conference low of 59.5 points per game. LC State leads the CCC in steals (10.9 per game) and total points scored (642). Last season both teams made National Championship appearances.

(RV) College of Idaho is holding a 6-2 preseason record and will host Walla Walla University, who stands at 2-2. The Yotes lead the conference in total rebounds, averaging 46 per game, and are coming off a second round NAIA Championship appearance last season.

(RV) Southern Oregon University, the back-to-back defending CCC regular season and tournament champions, enter conference play at 5-3 and will host Northwest University. The Raiders advanced to the NAIA Quarterfinals last season. Northwest begins CCC action with a 3-4 record.

No. 21-ranked Oregon Tech is at an even 4-4 to start the regular season and will host The Evergreen State College, who is searching for its first win. OIT leads the CCC in blocks per game, averaging 5.1.

With numerous elite programs receiving national recognition, the 2025-26 Cascade Conference Women’s Basketball season is set for another exciting and highly competitive year.
