CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Beacons defeated the Warriors to open the 2025-26 CCC Men's Basketball conference season.

Bushnell University def. Corban University, 86-67
Bushnell opened conference play with an 86-67 win over Corban. The Beacons shot 50 percent from the field, while holding Corban to 39.7 percent, and went 12 for 15 at the free throw line. Bushnell also held a narrow 40-36 edge in rebounds.
Corban started fast, building a nine-point lead in the first half and finished with 42 points in the paint, but couldn’t maintain momentum. Bushnell’s depth proved dominance, as the Beacons’ bench contributed a massive 49 points. They also forced turnovers throughout, converting 21 points and collecting eight steals. Their pressure helped stretch the lead to as many as 28 points early in the second half.
Four Beacons scored in double figures, led by Cory Johnson’s 25 point outing. Kaleb Burnett anchored the defensive effort with seven rebounds, two steals, and a block. TJ Zimmermann paced Corban with 22 points.
