REDDING, Calif. – (Tournament Central | Day One Results) The first day of the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Wrestling Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, was jam-packed with thrilling wrestling.
(Team Scores) No. 10 Southern Oregon University leads all teams with 84 total points. No. 5 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University follows with 72.5 points. No. 14 Corban University was next, earning 63.5 points with No. 6 University of Providence close behind with 54.5 points. No. 19 Eastern Oregon University secured 45.5 points to sit in 5th place and No. 13 Montana State University-Northern earned 41 points to land at 6th. (RV) Arizona Christian University holds the 7th spot with 22 points and (RV) Simpson University follows totaling 13 points. The Evergreen State College and Westcliff University round out the teams with 8.5 and 8 points, respectively.
125lbs- Landon Smith (ERAU) defeated his two opponents by pin. Tomorrow he will face Vonn Fenn (SOU) who defeated opponents by 4-1 decision and pin.
Kolten Powers (MSUN) and Kobi Johnson (UP) each received a first round byes before defeating their opponents by 4-2 and 11-8 decisions, respectively. They will face off tomorrow with the winner competing in the championship match.
133lbs- Sean Archuleta (ACU) received a bye the first round before defeating his opponent by technical fall. Tomorrow he will face Simon Graeber (SOU) who defeated his opponent by pin.
Blake Runion (CRB) received a bye before defeating his opponent by 8-3 decision. He will face Dylan Clark (SOU) tomorrow who defeated both his opponents by pin.
141lbs- Evan Potter (SOU) defeated his opponent by pin. Tomorrow he will face Bo Davis (CRB) who won by major decision.
Luke Jensen (CRB) received a bye before winning by 5-3 decision. He will face Adam Stanley (ERAU) who won by pin and 5-4 decision.
149lbs- Jonah Chew (ERAU) received a bye the first round before winning by technical fall. Tomorrow he will face Tyler Diaz (SU) who defeated his opponents by 6-3 and 7-2 decision.
Jalen Vladic (UP) won by technical fall and major decision. He will face Jaxon Morlan (EOU) tomorrow who received a bye before winning by 5-4 decision.
157lbs- David Rubio (CRB) defeated his two opponents by pin. Tomorrow he will Dylan Straley (SOU) who received a bye before winning by pin.
Aden Graves (UP) received a bye before winning by major decision. He will face Aaron Gandara (SOU) who defeated his opponents by pin and sudden victory.
165lbs- Keller Rock (ERAU) won by pin and sudden victory. Tomorrow he will face Blaze Sumiye (UP) who received a bye before winning by 9-5 decision.
Travis Waldner (MSUN) won by pin and technical fall. He will face Bridger Hall (UP) who received a bye before defeating his opponent by pin.
174lbs- Daniil Gorshkov (ERAU) received a bye then won by technical fall. Tomorrow he will face Tyson Stover (CRB) who had a bye then won by 6-2 decision.
Devin Crawford (MSUN) and Abel Nava (UP) each received first round byes before defeating their opponents by pin and technical fall, respectively. They will face off tomorrow with the winner competing in the championship match.
184lbs- Kyle Knudtson (EOU) received a bye the first round before pinning his opponent. Tomorrow he will face Isaiah Twait (CRB) who won by 11-6 decision.
Sawyer Hobbs (UP) and Adrian Chavez-Morales (SOU) will face off tomorrow, after each pinning both their opponents today.
197lbs- Elias Corona (SOU) won by 14-7 decision and technical fall. Tomorrow he will face Trenton Blomquist (ERAU) who won by major decision.
