CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following eight Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the CCC Players of the Week for their performances during competition from February 17 – 23, 2025.
Men’s Basketball – Defensive
(RV) Lewis-Clark State College’s Alton Hamilton was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Hamilton, a sophomore forward from Fontana, Calif., helped the Warriors to two big wins over Corban University (72-64) and Bushnell University (73-63). Over the weekend he recorded 23 rebounds, two steals and a block on top of 44 points in 73 total minutes played.
Men’s Basketball – Offensive
Bushnell University’s Cory Johnson was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
Johnson, a junior forward from Anaheim, Calif., led the Beacons to secure the eight seed in the CCC Basketball Tournament. He shot an outstanding 60.6 percent from the field with 44 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in 74 total minutes played.
Women’s Basketball – Defensive
No. 3-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Clara Robbins was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
Robbins, a senior forward from Hillsboro, Ore., helped the Raiders to remain undefeated with three victories over No. 22-ranked Oregon Tech (72-68), Warner Pacific University (85-38), and Multnomah (87-65). She recorded 17 rebounds, eight blocks, and five steals on top of 18 points in 58 total minutes played.
Women’s Basketball – Offensive
No. 3-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Morgan Baird was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
Baird, a senior forward from Coquille, Ore., had a huge weekend for the Raiders, helping them remain undefeated. She recorded an outstanding 70 field goal percentage with 72 points. She also added 10 rebounds, six steals, and six assists in 73 total minutes played.
Baseball – Player
Lewis-Clark State College’s Charlie Updegrave was named the CCC Baseball Player of the Week.
Updegrave, a senior first baseman from Oakridge, Ore., had an outstanding week for LC State. He recorded seven hits, two doubles and a homerun for a .700 batting average and an incredible 1.200 slugging percentage. Across the weekend he tallied four runs and four RBIs. Defensively he managed a perfect fielding percentage.
Baseball – Pitcher
University of British Columbia’s Will Anderson was named the CCC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Anderson, a sophomore from Delta, B.C., had a fantastic performance on the mound against Eastern Oregon University, leading UBC to a 7-3 victory. In 6.2 innings he only allowed one earned run while striking out 12 batters for a 1.35 ERA.
Softball – Player
Southern Oregon University’s Kailer Fulton was named the CCC Softball Player of the Week.
Fulton, a senior outfielder from Roseville, Calif., had a terrific outing, helping SOU to a 4-1 week at the NAIA SB Invitational. She recorded 11 hits, including a double for a .579 batting average and a .632 slugging percentage. Across the weekend she tallied eight runs and three RBIs while defensively holding a perfect fielding percentage.
Softball – Pitcher
Oregon Tech’s Kacie Schmidt was named the CCC Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Schmidt, a senior from Beaverton, Ore., had an outstanding performance on the mound for OIT. In 21.2 total innings pitched, she only allowed one earned run while striking out 28 batters for a 0.32 ERA.
