CORVALLIS, Ore. – The eight seeds of the 2024-25 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, were announced
Saturday and the quarterfinal action tips off Tuesday.
The CCC tournament takes place on Feb. 25, 28, and March 3, with the quarterfinals round taking place at the top-four seeds’ home courts. The highest remaining seeds will host the lower seeds with a trip to the NAIA National Tournament on the line.
#1 College of Idaho vs. #8 Bushnell University
College of Idaho won the regular-season title with a 21-1 conference record to pick up the first seed in the tournament. The Yotes are boasting a 16-game winning streak and host eighth-seeded Bushnell, who survived with a 9-13 CCC mark. C of I swept the regular-season series between the teams and currently lead the conference in scoring margin (+25), rebounding margin (+7.4), and turnover margin (+5.86).
#2 Oregon Tech vs. #7 Multnomah
Oregon Tech earned the second seed after completing a 18-4 CCC record. OIT will host Multnomah, which picked up the seven seed with a 12-10 conference mark. The Owls took two victories over the Lions and currently rank second in the CCC in offensive scoring (84.9).
#3 Lewis-Clark State College vs. #6 Corban University
Third seed Lewis-Clark State will host sixth seed Corban in the quarterfinals. LC State went 17-5 in CCC play while Corban competed the conference season with a 13-9 record. The LCSC Warriors swept the Corban Warriors. LC State leads the conference in field goal percentages (.497).
#4 Southern Oregon University vs. #5 Eastern Oregon University
Southern Oregon clinched the fourth seed with a 14-8 CCC record while Eastern Oregon followed right behind at 13-9. The teams split their match ups during the regular season. EOU ranks at the top of the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (.389) while SOU follows right behind (.375).
Whichever team wins the conference championship will earn the CCC's second Automatic Qualifier to the National Tournament. If C of I wins the tournament, the two seed Oregon Tech will earn the second AQ. The 87th Annual Men’s Basketball National Championship is set for March 20-25, at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri, with first rounds beginning March 14, at campus sites.
