CORVALLIS, Ore. – Tomorrow the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Softball season officially starts.
All 10 CCC teams will take the field this weekend to get the series started, battling for the regular-season championship and the CCC’s first automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NAIA National Tournament. The second AQ will be awarded to the winner of the CCC Softball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank., beginning on May 2.
Southern Oregon University enters the CCC season on top of the standings with an impressive 11-1 record and will kick off hosting Warner Pacific. The Raiders were picked to top the
CCC preseason poll and ranked No. 4 in the
NAIA preseason rating. Currently, SOU holds the most runs scored (73), hits (115), RBIs (59), and total bases (146) in the conference.
Warner Pacific University will open its season against Southern Oregon. The Knights hold a 1-5 overall record and have the most homeruns (5) in the CCC.
Oregon Tech is second in the standings with a 7-1 overall record. The team was also chosen second in the CCC preseason poll and ranked No. 5 in the NAIA preseason poll, after claiming last years regular season title. The Owls will host Eastern Oregon during opening weekend. OIT has the most doubles (15) and highest fielding percentage (.971) in the conference.
Eastern Oregon University is 1-1 so far this season as they set off to defend its CCC tournament title. The Mounties will begin conference play against Oregon Tech. EOU has the second highest slugging percentage (.525) in the CCC.
College of Idaho currently has a 3-1 overall record as they prepare to face Carroll to start the season.
Carroll College has a 3-5 overall record and will start the conference season hosting College of Idaho.
University of Providence is 2-2 so far this season and will begin conference play against Corban.
Corban University begins CCC play hosting Providence while searching for its first win of the season.
University of British Columbia currently holds a 3-2 overall record and will start conference action against Bushnell. The Thunderbirds currently lead the CCC in batting average (.366) and slugging percentage (.537).
Bushnell University begins CCC play hosting British Columbia with a 5-3 overall record. The Beacons hold the lowest ERA (1.24) in the conference.
