CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 9-ranked Southern Oregon University men’s wrestling team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for January 27 – February 2, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
This weekend, Southern Oregon defeated No. 13-ranked Coban University and No. 8-ranked University of Providence.
Dylan Clark (133lbs), Evan Potter (141lbs), Aaron Gandara (157lbs), Braylin Ruchti (174lbs), Adrian Chavez-Morales (184lbs), and Asher Ruchti (197lbs) all recorded victories for the Raiders against the Warriors. Four matches were determined by late takedowns, with three of them falling in Southern Oregon's favor on Friday.
Diesel Del Rosario, (125lbs), Simon Graeber (133lbs), Evan Potter (141lbs), Aaron Gandara (157lbs), Braylin Ruchti (174lbs) and Asher Ruchti (197lbs) all recorded victories for the Raiders against the Argos. Four matches were determined by late takedowns, with three of them falling in Southern Oregon's favor. SOU bounced back from last month's loss to Providence, securing a dominant 25-12 dual win on Saturday.
Next weekend, the Raiders will take on No. 21-ranked Eastern Oregon University.
