CORVALLIS, Ore. – SOU continues to the final site of the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament.
Southern Oregon University def. Wayland Baptist University, 78-51
Southern Oregon defeated Wayland Baptist in the second round of the NAIA Tournament by a final score of 78-51 for its 33rd consecutive victory. Emma Schmerbach posted 17 points, eight rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocked shots to lead the Raiders. SOU out rebounded 46-36, shot 48.5 percent from the field, and added 34 points off turnovers. On Thursday at 1 p.m., Southern Oregon will face Xavier University of Louisiana in the Round of 16 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Briar Cliff University def. Lewis-Clark State College, 71-60
Briar Cliff outlasted Lewis-Clark State in the second round of the NAIA Tournament by a final score of 71-60. Ellie Sander paced the Warriors with 17 points and five rebounds. LC State ended its season with a 26-7 overall record.
Georgetown College def. College of Idaho, 79-70
Georgetown outscored College of Idaho in the second round of the NAIA Tournament by a final score of 79-70. Anna Mooney paced the Yotes with 21 points. C of I ended its season with a 18-13 overall record.
