SEATTLE, WA - The second and final day of CCC beach volleyball at Alki Beach wrapped up with #2 Corban crowned undefeated while Northwest and #10 College of Idaho picked up wins against Bushnell.
The day started with the Eagles and Beacons squaring off with the host team winning 3-2. It was a hard earned win for No. 2 pair Masa Spela Jarc and Aubree Dees as they took their match to three sets and took home the game-deciding win.
The Beacons moved on to the Yotes and put up quite a fight against the No. 10 team in the nation. The game came down to the No. 5 pairs with Capri Salmon and Emily Lettenmaier of the Yotes pushing for set three and secured the final set 15-5.
After honoring senior Ellie Van Berkum, the Eagles faced the Warriors, but could not overcome the Warrior’s might as they fell to the sweep.
To finish the pleasantly sunny day, the Warriors took on the Yotes and further displayed their dominance, but not without some push back. No. 2 pair Greta Valaika and Deshy Sandoval of the Yotes were able to squeeze a win in two back-and-forth sets to avoid the sweep.
With the wins over the Eagles and Yotes, the Warriors extend their win streak to 12 and continue to white-knuckle their grasp on the conference.
