CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 2-ranked Corban University beach volleyball team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for March 24 – 30, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
This week, the Warriors continued their undefeated conference season while claiming the inaugural CCC beach volleyball regular season title. They opened with a dominant 5-0 sweep of Simpson University before clinching the title outright with a 3-2 win over the No. 7-ranked Southern Oregon University on the Raiders home sand.
On Friday, Corban took every set against the Red Hawks to secure another victory over Simpson. Then, In their third and final regular season matchup with the nationally ranked Raiders, the Warriors jumped out to an early 2-0 pair lead thanks to a straight-set sweep by junior Alexis Adebodun and freshman Gabi Engels in the fours, followed by a three-set thriller for Ontai and Stokes in the twos.
On Saturday, the Warriors completed a series sweep over Simpson. The Warriors picked up clean sweeps at all five pairs. The most dominant decision of the afternoon came in the fourth-overall pairing, as junior Alexis Adebodun and freshman Gabi Engels allowed only ten points in total to Simpson.
This Tuesday, Corban will host Bushnell University in both teams' final CCC match of the 2025 season. Then the Warriors are set to host the inaugural CCC Beach Volleyball Championship Tournament in Salem, Ore., on April 10 and 11.
