PORTLAND, Ore. – University of British Columbia is leading by one stroke after the opening round of the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship, presented by U.S. Bank.
The Thunderbirds, who are ranked No. 9-ranked in the latest NAIA Men’s Golf Coaches’ Poll, shot a 294 (+2) as a team in round one with (RV) Lewis-Clark State College a stroke behind.
The team scores after day one are: (1) British Columbia 294, (2) Lewis-Clark State College 295 (3) College of Idaho 298 (T4) Southern Oregon University 302 (T4) Oregon Tech 302 (6) Corban University 306 (7) Bushnell University 315 (8) Walla Walla University 318 (9) Multnomah 319.
Freshman Riley Kirk of Southern Oregon University is leading the individual race with a 2-under par, 71 total on the first round. British Columbia’s Mackenzie Bickell, LC State’s Sondre Andresen, and OIT’s Jack Tieman are all tied with a 1-under 72. Dylan MacDonald of UBC, Alex Navarro of LCSC, Eddie Tache of WWU, along with Lucas Rynearson and Parker Edwards of C of I all carded an even par to conclude day one of the tight competition for the individual title.
Round two will be another shotgun start on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Oregon.
