PORTLAND, Ore. – University of British Columbia maintained the lead by 16 strokes after the second round of the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship, presented by U.S. Bank.
The Thunderbirds capitalized on their momentum to stay on top, shooting an outstanding 279
(-13) as a team in round two.

After finishing even yesterday, Lucas Rynearson (73-69—142) of College of Idaho shot 4-under par to jump to the top of the leaderboard. He is tied with British Columbia’s Aidan Schumer (78-64—142) who highlighted the day with an incredible 9-under round. Schumer made a remarkable 14-stroke improvement, earning a place in the conference record book by tying for the lowest individual single round. Mackenzie Bickell (72-73—145) and John Paul Kahlert (75-70—145) of UBC along with Riley Kirk (71-74—145) of SOU are also all tied in the tight battle for the individual crown.
The final championship round will tee off on hole 10 on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. at the Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Oregon.
