Women's Soccer 8/28/2025 10:08:00 PM Brandon Stinson | Sports Information & Media Coordinator Lensing’s Hat Trick Highlights 4-0 Victory For Rocky Women’s Soccer MESA, Ariz.- Emma Lensing tallied her second career hat trick and Georgia Dean became just the seventh Battlin' Bear in program history to record three assists in a single game to lead the Rocky women to a 4-0 win in Arizona. Dean is one of just four players in the NAIA so far this season to record a three-assist game, while Lensing is the only Battlin' Bear to score three goals in a single game since 2022, which she's done twice in that span (vs Warner Pacific, 10/25/24). How it Happened Emma Lensing found her first goal in the 18th minute on a designed play off of a corner kick, as Lensing played the ball short to teammate Georgia Dean, who took advantage of a two-on-one opportunity and dished the ball back to Lensing, who fired a shot from just inside the box and ricocheted her shot off the gloves of the Red Hawks' goalie and in to give the Battlin' Bears a 1-0 lead. The senior from Billings West would score her second goal of the evening 14 minutes later, as again teammate Georgia Dean would set her up after swiping a possession away from Benedictine Mesa, eventually find Lensing who set herself up inside the box and fired her second goal of the evening into the top-right corner of the goal to give the Rocky women a 2-0 lead going into the halftime break. Lensing's third goal of the evening came in the 64th minute, after an errant Red Hawk pass went out of bounds deep in their own side of the field. The Battlin' Bears responded quickly, wasting no time to get the ball back into play, as Olivia Goddard would fire a deep pass inside the box to a wide-open Lensing, who finished the play to complete the hat trick and give the Battlin' Bears a 3-0 lead. Just five minutes later, Morgan Hayes joined in on the scoring action on another opportunistic attack, as Georgia Dean quickly found Hayes following a throw-in near the corner, as Hayes lobbed a deep shot that cleared the hands of the goalie to give the Battlin' Bears a commanding four-goal lead, which they would hold for the remainder of the match in Arizona. The Rocky women outshot the Red Hawks 18-7 overall and 9-4 on goal in the contest. Freshman Matea Vernon earned the start in goal, saving all four shots she faced in 70 minutes of play. The Battlin' Bears controlled possession throughout, earning seven corner kick opportunities. Scoring Summary 18' RMC - Emma Lensing (Ast. Georgia Dean) 32' RMC - Emma Lensing (Ast.
