CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Eastern Oregon University Volleyball team was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for August 25 – 31, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The Mounties continued the 2025 season undefeated, earning four complete sweeps at the CMS Labor Day Classic. The team found itself ranked No. 2 in the CCC and No. 5 in the NAIA Preseason Polls.
Eastern Oregon began its first game on Friday by defeating (RV) Benedictine College (Kan.) (25-21, 25-16, 25-22). EOU recorded 48 total kills, led by McKenzie Jonas with 10 and Kiauna Mack with nine while Kate Stidham guided the attack with a double-double of 26 assists and 11 digs.
Later that evening, the Mounties once again showed out with another sweep over No. 7-ranked Northwestern College (Iowa) (25-22, 25-15, 25-22). Brooke Womack recorded 11 of EOU’s 46 digs, Keira Vaughn contributed 15 of the team’s 45 kills, and Stidham tallied 30 of the 45 assists. Mack, the Reigning NAIA Defender of the Week, recorded seven blocks as Eastern Oregon secured their second win of the day.
The following afternoon EOU kept its perfect performance with an upset over No. 4-ranked Concordia University (Neb.) (25-19, 25-18, 25-21). The Mounties hit .234 as a team while earning 60 digs, 47 kills, and 44 assists. Womack led the way with 22 digs while Vaughn and Mack each recorded 11 kills.
In the fourth and final sweep of the tournament, EOU defeated College of Saint Mary (Neb.) (25-18, 25-23, 25-17). The Mounties held the Flames to a .060 hitting percentage while taking another 60 digs, 50 kills, and 46 assists. Yet again Womack led the way with 18 digs and 14 kills while Mack earned nine digs and Stidham tallied another 25 assists.
Next weekend, Eastern Oregon will set off the 2025 CCC regular season by hosting The Evergreen State College and Northwest University.
