Eastern Suffers Loss to Wolves in Final Non-Conference Match

MONMOUTH, Ore. – In its final non-conference matchup of 2025, the Eastern Oregon women's soccer team suffered its second consecutive loss to an NCAA Division II opponent, falling 0-3 to Western Oregon University.

The Wolves opened the scoring in the 27th minute, as Olivia Boger netted a goal off an assist from Maya Courtenay. However, the Mountaineers were able to remain within reach, earning their lone corner kick of the contest and staying even in shots 2-2.

WOU came out firing in the second half, with Boger doubling the lead courtesy of a Kaitlin Taylor assist in the 63rd minute. Courtenay then joined the fun with a goal of her own in the 72nd minute to secure the victory.

EOU managed just three shots on the day, none which were on goal, and Rylee Schei recorded three saves.

Eastern will now enter its conference slate at 3-2-1 overall, and looks to rebound against Warner Pacific University (1-3-1) in Portland, Ore. on Friday, Sept. 19.
