Career-Low Round for Shockey Wraps up Kalispel Invitational

SCORES
SPOKANE, Wash. – Senior Dallis Shockey put together one of the best tournaments of her career, highlighted by a career-low round of 1-under, 71 on Tuesday. The senior was the top non-NCAA Division I golfer in the field to lead No. 25 LC State Women's Golf at the Kalispel Invitational in Spokane.

The Warriors finished 13th as a team to lead all non-DI programs. Shockey finished tied for 43rd at 14-over, 230.

"Not the tournament we were hoping for, but we can definitely use this one as a great learning experience," coach Zach Anderson said. "I am so proud of Dallis today. Other than one hiccup she played an extremely efficient round. Her first time under par in a college tournament round and it was on the DI stage. Her growth in her golf game both physically and mentally had been immense. Looking forward to what she'll continue to do for this golf team this season."

Shockey had a stellar day for her first collegiate round under par. The team captain carded three birdies in the final 18 holes to jump 17 spots on the leaderboard.

Junior Isabella Barquet tied for 73rd in the field after a round of 83 on Tuesday. She finished 31-over, and Jane Barry was four strokes behind in 78th place.

Giulia Belfontali finished tied for 80th overall and Taylor Mire was 82nd.
