2025 CCC Volleyball Preview

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference volleyball season officially begins Wednesday with one matchup on the slate. By the weekend, all 11 teams will be in action as the full schedule gets underway. This sets the stage for the battle to determine the CCC regular season champion and the first automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NAIA National Tournament. The winner of the CCC Volleyball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, will earn the league’s second AQ.

Bushnell University enters conference play with a 6-4 overall record and was recently named the season’s first CCC Under Armour Team of the Week. After reaching the NAIA Tournament last year, the Beacons open CCC action Wednesday against Corban University.

Corban, currently 6-1, is coming off a national semifinal appearance in 2024. The Warriors will host Bushnell Wednesday to launch the conference season.

Warner Pacific University takes the court next against Corban in Thursday’s lone contest. The Knights begin CCC play at 0-1.

Eastern Oregon University remains unbeaten at 8-0 and is set to host The Evergreen State College on Friday. The Mountaineers, who advanced to last year’s NAIA quarterfinals, aim for another strong run in 2025.

Evergreen is still searching for its first win of the season as it heads to Eastern Oregon to open the conference season.

Oregon Tech has started hot with a 6-1 record and will travel to face Walla Walla University on Friday. The Owls made a NAIA National Championship appearance last season and look to build on that momentum.

Walla Walla is off to its best start in program history, highlighted by an upset win over a nationally ranked opponent. The Wolves also celebrated Sahara Browning’s recognition as NAIA Attacker of the Week and now prepare for a marquee matchup with OIT.

Southern Oregon University, last year’s CCC Tournament champion, carries a 3-4 record into league play. The Raiders, who advanced to the NAIA final site, will travel to face Lewis-Clark State College on Friday.

Lewis-Clark State enters CCC competition undefeated at 3-0 and will host SOU in Friday’s featured contest.

College of Idaho has made an impressive early statement with wins over ranked opponents. The Yotes at 6-1 will host Northwest University in their conference opener.

Northwest, also unbeaten at 6-0, travels to Caldwell for Friday’s matchup against the Yotes as both teams look to extend their strong starts.

With multiple nationally ranked and undefeated teams, the 2025 CCC season promises to deliver another thrilling year of competition.
