Bushnell and OIT Lead after Day 1 at Running Y

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Battling gusty winds and a driving rain, Oregon Tech and Bushnell hold the top spot in a tight leaderboard after Day 1 of the Run-In at the Ranch at the Running Y Resort.
 
DAY 1 RESULTS

Round 2 was canceled after just three holes after flooding occurred on the course due to a prolonged downpour. The tournament has been adjusted to 36 holes, with Round 3 set to start tomorrow at 9 a.m.
 
Matt Forsyth of Bushnell holds the Day 1 lead after a 2-under-par 70, holding a one-stroke lead over the College of Idaho tandem of Carson King and Lucas Rynearson. OIT's Cayson VanBeekum is alone in fourth after an even-par 72.
 
Bushnell and Tech each posted team scores of 296, one stroke clear of C of I (297), with Southern Oregon (301) just five strokes off the pace.
 
The Hustlin' Owls had two players shoot 74 – Kade Bracken and Kellen Humphries – with both Issey Tanimura and Jack Tieman carding opening round 75s.
