McDonald's Player of the Week, Presented by Urban Edge Network

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The following six Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the McDonald's Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for their performances during competition from January 5  – 11, 2026.

Men’s Basketball – Defensive Player
(RV) Lewis-Clark State College’s Grayson Hunt was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Hunt, a senior forward from Pullman, Wash., helped lead the Warriors to two more conference victories over Bushnell University (72-60) and Corban University (71-68). He tallied 20 rebounds and 19 points, helping limit opponents to an average of 64 points per game.

Men’s Basketball – Offensive Player
No. 20-ranked Oregon Tech’s Jackson Cooper was named the CCC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Cooper, a junior forward from Portland, Ore., powered the Owls in a successful weekend. His performance was highlighted by a triple-double in a win over (RV) College of Idaho, including a career-high 16 rebounds. He averaged 20.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game while shooting 56.7 from the field across both contests.

Women’s Basketball – Defensive Player
No. 15-ranked Lewis-Clark State College’s Darian Herring was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Herring, a junior forward from Deer Park, Wash., guided the Warriors to two more conference wins against Bushnell University (59-43) and No. 18-ranked Corban University (97-77). She averaged 11.5 rebounds and 13 points across both contests on top of adding six assists, three blocks and two steals.

Women’s Basketball – Offensive Player
No. 15-ranked Lewis-Clark State College’s Sitara Byrd was named the CCC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.

Byrd, a senior forward from Spokane, Wash., powered the Warriors to two more conference wins against Bushnell University (59-43) and No. 18-ranked Corban University (97-77). She averaged 18 points and eight rebounds across both contents while holding a 54.2 field goal percentage. She added six assists and her weekend was highlighted by earning her 1,000th career point.
 
Men's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 18-ranked Corban University’s Antonio Garcia was named the CCC Men’s Wrestler of the Week for the second consecutive week.
 
Antonio Garcia (285lbs), a senior from Salem, Ore., went undefeated with five wins at the NWCA National Duals. He earned three wins by decision, one by sudden victory, and the final by pin, against several nationally ranked opponents.
 
Women's Wrestling – Wrestler
No. 2-ranked University of Providence’s Paige Morales was named the CCC Women’s Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season.

Morales (110lbs), a junior from Fresno, Calif., is ranked No. 3 nationally and went undefeated with three wins at the NWCA National Duals. She recorded a 10-1 decision and two 10-0 technical falls against ranked opponents, outscoring her competition 30-1 to help lead the Argos to a second place team finish.
