CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The 2026 NWCA National Duals have come to an end today in the central United States, where the No. 18-ranked Corban University Men's Wrestling team was unable to complete the bracket-play tourney with a team win, falling to No. 11-ranked Doane University (Neb.) and No. 7-ranked Campbellsville University (Ky.) by dual scores of 28-19 and 36-11, respectively.
Wins came scarcely today for the No. 18-ranked Warriors (5-6), as a pair of higher-seeded and ranked teams provided fits up and down the weight class lineup in which the Navy and Gold managed just seven total wins, with one student-athlete completing an unscathed weekend of competition. No. 3-ranked redshirt senior Antonio Garcia had an impeccable two days of action for the Dubs, securing a 5-0 record and multiple ranked victories. Today, Garcia defeated No. 18-ranked Eli Criblez of Doane in a 3-2 decision, followed by a pin of Ethan Heady from Campbellsville.
Junior Jr Downing picked up another ranked win on the weekend against No. 23-ranked Quentyn Frank of Doane in a dominant 15-0 technical fall, giving him multiple ranked wins at the National Duals as an unranked wrestler for the 149-weight class. Also picking up head-to-head wins today for the Navy and Gold was freshman Mason Thynes at 141lbs, redshirt sophomore Jesse Rubio at 165lbs, redshirt sophomore Andres Nicacio at 174lbs, and junior Isaiah Twait at 184lbs.
