BILLINGS, Mont. - The local duo of Mya Maack and Charlize Davis combined for all five goals, while the Rocky defense suffocated the University of Providence, holding the Argos to a single shot attempt in a dominant 5-0 home win.
Senior Mya Maack, who entered the contest scoreless on the season, recorded her first collegiate hat trick to lead the effort. Meanwhile, reigning NAIA Offensive Player of the Week Charlize Davis struck for back-to-back goals to take sole possession of the Cascade Collegiate Conference lead with her 10th goal of the year.
How it Happened
The Battlin' Bears set the tone early with three goals in the opening seven minutes. In the fifth minute, Davis found Maack in the center of the pitch, where Maack looped a shot over the keeper into the top-right corner for a 1-0 lead. Davis quickly took over, scoring back-to-back goals within a minute, beating the Argos' keeper one-on-one both times to extend the lead to 3-0.
Maack went back to work in the second half, intercepting an Argos clearance in the 62nd minute before creating space and chipping a shot over the leaping hands of the Providence goalkeeper. She capped off her career night in the 77th minute, calmly burying a penalty kick into the top-right corner to seal the 5-0 victory and complete her hat trick.

A relentless attack saw the Battlin' Bears outshoot Providence 26-1 overall, putting 18 shots on frame while holding the Argos to no shots on goal and conceding just two corner kicks.
