Championship Page) Following a pair of highly competitive semifinal matchups, the final two teams are set to battle for the 2025-26 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Championship, presented by U.S. Bank. A Warrior showdown is set to decide the CCC tournament title.
No. 1 seed Corban University def. No. 5 seed Oregon Tech, 87-71
Top seeded Corban stormed into another CCC Championship game with a commanding 87-71 semifinal victory over Oregon Tech. The Warriors set the tone early, pouring in 27 points in the first quarter and finishing the night shooting 47.8 percent from the field, including 11 three-pointers. Corban’s depth was on full display with 33 bench points, 12 assists, and seven steals in a complete team effort. Jersey Huerta led all scorers with 29 points, while Emilia Bishop added nine rebounds. OIT continued to battle, posting its highest scoring output in the fourth quarter and totaling 38 points in the paint along with 12 points off turnovers. Tatum Schmerbach paced the Owls with 18 points as they close their conference postseason at 19-11 overall. The win sends Corban to its first CCC Championship appearance in seven years.
No. 3 seed Lewis-Clark State College def. No. 2 seed Eastern Oregon University, 70-57
Lewis-Clark State overcame a slow start to earn another victory over Eastern Oregon in the semifinal round, 70-57. The Warriors took control in the third quarter, using a 22-7 run to seize the lead before building their largest advantage of 14 points midway through the fourth. LC State shot 40.6 percent from the field and capitalized on 26 points off turnovers to secure the win. Payton Hymas led the way with 21 points, Darian Herring added 20, and Lindsey Wilson recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams finished with 38 points in the paint in the tightly contested matchup. Eastern Oregon battled throughout, holding a 43-37 rebounding edge while adding 11 assists and 16 bench points. The Mounties conclude their conference championship run with a 25-5 overall record. Lewis-Clark State advances to the CCC Championship game for the sixth straight season since joining the conference, still in pursuit of its first tournament title.
