KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Alexis Adebodun and Cammie Masanda of Corban University have earned Pair of the Week at the two & three positions on a 4-0 weekend.
Adebodun, a senior from Sacramento, California and a Sierra College transfer, and Masanda, a junior from Keaau, Hawaii, have been a driving force behind the No. 2 Warriors’ outstanding start. Corban sits at 18-3 overall, and that same 18-3 mark mirrors the pair’s season doubles record.
Their latest statement came during a dominant four-match stretch against No. 10 College of Idaho and Northwest (Wash.). Corban went a perfect 4-0 on the weekend, highlighted by three match sweeps, and Adebodun and Masanda were right at the center of that momentum. Working from the second and third flights, they went 4-0 without dropping a set.
Against College of Idaho, they opened with a composed win over Carolina Moreno-Rubio and Faith Faucher, 21-17, 21-13, then later overwhelmed Sophia White and Ellie Baker, 21-8, 21-8. Versus Northwest, they defeated the Eagles’ Ava Hoy and Kali Dransfeldt twice, first 21-13, 21-5 and then 21-10, 21-14. The scores tell the story of a pair that didn’t just win, but controlled matches from start to finish, limiting opponents to an average of just 11 points per set across the weekend.
