PORTLAND, Ore. — [RESULTS] No. 16-ranked University of British Columbia holds a narrow lead after two rounds of the Tournament of Knights. This is the final Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season men’s golf event, hosted by Warner Pacific University at Glendoveer Golf Course.
The Thunderbirds sit at 583 (-1) through 36 holes, maintaining a slim three-stroke advantage over (RV) Lewis-Clark State College, which is close behind at 586 (+2). Bushnell University, which led after a strong opening round, now sits in third at 592 (+8) but remains firmly in contention heading into the final round.
Corban University (299, +7), Warner Pacific University (301, +9), Oregon Tech (300, +8), Southern Oregon University (300, +8), College of Idaho (299, +7), and Walla Walla University (325, +33) round out the team standings in a tightly packed field.
Individually, Lewis-Clark State’s Luke West leads all golfers at 143 (-3) after two rounds. British Columbia’s Jake Houston and Warner Pacific’s Alden Fay are just one stroke back, tied for second at 144 (-2).
A trio of UBC golfers, Shunkichi Yamamoto, Manpreet Lalh, and Aneesh Kaura, are all tied for fourth at 145 (-1), keeping the Thunderbirds well-positioned atop the leaderboard. Bushnell teammates Matt Forsyth and Isaac Wells, along with Corban’s Shane Jacobus, are tied for seventh at even-par 146.
Lewis-Clark State’s Aaron Brown rounds out the top 10 at 148 (+2), as the leaderboard remains extremely condensed. Positions 11 through 42 all feature multiple ties, emphasizing the depth and competitiveness heading into the final round.
The tournament concludes tomorrow morning as CCC golfers return to the course to wrap up the final regular season event.
