SILVIS, Ill. – The 2025-26 LC State Men's Golf season came to an end on Tuesday after the second round of the 2026 NAIA Men's Golf Championship at TPC Deere Run. The Warriors finished 26
th as a team, led by senior Kye Krall in the top 75.
LC State missed the cut to advance in the tournament after qualifying to compete on the national stage for the first time since 2017.
"Didn't have it this week, but it was an awesome experience at the national championship. Absolutely honored to represent LC State on the national stage for the first time since 2017," coach Zach Anderson said. "This was a historic year for the men's golf program and to do it with this group of guys was a blessing. That being said, we got the taste of what nationals is like this year, and I know we want another chance to compete next year."
Krall finished tied for 69
th in the field of 160. He carded the best round by a Warrior in the tournament with a 2-over-par, 72. The senior tallied four birdies which was the most by an LC State player this week. Krall was 10-over through the two rounds to end his career.
Freshman Andrea Artusini shot 9-over on the day to finish tied for 93
rd. He used two birdies to finish 13-over for the tournament.
Fifth-year senior Sondre Andresen capped his tenure as a Warrior in a tie for 124
th at the national tournament. He shot 11-over in his final collegiate round to finish 17-over. Luke West was one stroke behind in a tie for 127
th after a 13-over day to total 18-over through 36 holes.
Lucas Ortega was subbed into the round and carded a solid 6-over with a pair of birdies.
The tournament marked the end of the careers of Krall, Andresen and Jaxon Moon. The group was instrumental in helping the Warriors get back to the national stage and the program's first Cascade Conference tournament title.
"Special shout out to our seniors, Sondre Andresen, Kye Krall and Jaxon Moon," Anderson said. "Thank you for what you did for this program. I can confidently say they are leaving it in a better place than when they found it."
