CORVALLIS, Ore. – In the latest edition of the CCC Podcast: Cascade Connects, Commissioner Rob Cashell talks with University of British Columbia head coach Jennifer McKellar and CCC Pitcher of the Year Carleen Murray as the Thunderbirds prepare for their first-ever appearance at the NAIA Softball World Series Final Site in Columbus, Georgia.
After five Cascade Conference programs qualified for the 2026 NAIA Softball Championship Opening Round, three advanced to the NAIA Softball World Series Final Site at the South Commons Complex, set for May 21-27. Defending national champion Southern Oregon University earned its spot after going undefeated in Opening Round play and will open the tournament against University of the Cumberlands (Ky.). In another Cascade Conference matchup, UBC and College of Idaho will meet for the sixth time this season on the national stage.
