Day Two of the 2026 NAIA Men’s and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – [RESULTS] The second day of the 2026 NAIA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships concluded. The Cascade Collegiate Conference added 10 more All-Americans and two individual national champions, in addition to a national champion performance from the University of British Columbia women’s relay team.

On the women’s side, Eastern Oregon University standout Lizzy Grandle delivered another dominant and consistent effort in the heptathlon, posting the top overall score of 5,207 points to capture the NAIA national championship. Her performance was highlighted by a first place finish in the shot put with a mark of 12.51m and a runner up finish in the high jump at 1.63m.

Another national champion was crowned in the triple jump as British Columbia's Igbunuoghene Ishaka secured the title with a leap of 12.16m.

In the shot put, College of Idaho freshman Helene Rae earned NAIA All-America honors with a fifth place finish after recording a throw of 14.48m.

The racewalk saw Maddy Palek of The Evergreen State College place third in 25:30.95 while Chantelle Dass of British Columbia followed in fifth with a time of 27:30.48 as both athletes earned All-America honors.

The women’s 4x800-meter relay featured a standout performance from British Columbia, as the quartet of R. McDonald, H. Martin, E. Fleming and S. MacGillivray captured the national title in 8:48.91, setting the top NAIA season best mark.

In the 10,000-meter run, Alyssa Johnson of Southern Oregon University earned a third place finish with a time of 35:32.23. Rozzlyn Cazier of College of Idaho added a seventh place finish in 37:03.37 to collect All-America honors.

In the team standings British Columbia leads the field with 44 points, holding a 13 point advantage over the next closest competitor.

The 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships will conclude on Friday, May 23. The women’s competition begins at 11:45 a.m. ET with the discus.


On the men’s side, British Columbia’s Lowell Solmes claimed runner up honors in the racewalk with a time of 20:43.58.

In the men’s 10,000-meter run, Jack Gladfelter of Corban University placed third overall in 30:19.86 after maintaining consistent splits throughout the race. Mason Weisgerber of Southern Oregon added a fifth place finish in 30:33.63 as both earned All-America honors.

In the team standings British Columbia leads all CCC programs with nine points, sitting in 15th place overall.

The 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships will conclude on Friday, May 23. The men’s championship opens at 9 a.m. ET with the discus and pole vault.
