KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Day two of the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference Softball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, delivered another round of intense matchups. Championship Sunday begins with the final elimination game at 11 a.m., followed by the title game at 1:30 p.m., where Southern Oregon awaits its opponent. As the lone undefeated team, the Raiders need one win to claim the championship title.

No. 5 seed College of Idaho def. No. 6 seed Simpson University, 3-2
College of Idaho outscored Simpson 3-2 in 10 innings in the CCC Softball Championship elimination game. Both teams recorded seven hits in the tightly contested matchup. Simpson opened the scoring in the third inning on a Kassandra Soria double that brought in Nayzeth Gonzalez. C of I responded in the fourth with a solo home run from Kina Watts before Soria added a home run in the fifth to give the Red Hawks the lead once again. The Yotes forced extra innings in the seventh as Watts delivered an RBI single to tie the game. After two scoreless extra frames, Chloe Flerchinger lifted a sacrifice fly to drive in the game winning run. Watts also got the win on the mound, not allowing a run in four innings. College of Idaho moves on to face the winner of game six (Eastern Oregon) while Simpson concludes its season at 17-31 in its first CCC campaign.
No. 2 seed Eastern Oregon University def. No. 4 seed University of British Columbia, 9-1
Eastern Oregon defeated British Columbia 9-1 in five innings to advance in the CCC Softball Championship Tournament. The Mounties recorded 10 hits and played error free in the run rule victory. UBS struck first in the opening inning on an RBI from Tegan Harnett, but EOU responded with a six run third inning to take control before adding three more runs in the fourth. Lexi Grumbois led the Mounties with two hits, two runs, and two RBIs. Maliyah Mann earned the win in the circle, tossing a complete five innings while allowing just one hit and one earned run. Harnett accounted for the lone RBI for the Thunderbirds. Eastern Oregon moves on to face College of Idaho in the final game of the day. British Columbia ended its conference postseason with a 27-21 overall record.
No. 3 seed Southern Oregon University def. No. 1 seed Oregon Tech, 4-1
Southern Oregon won against Oregon Tech 4-1 to remain unbeaten in the CCC Softball Championship Tournament. The Raiders recorded eight hits and played error free, scoring two runs in the first inning before adding two more in the fourth to secure the win. Kalea Thomas led the offense with two hits and a run while Brooke Nordahl drove in two RBIs. Ayla Davies earned the complete game victory, allowing just three hits and one earned run across seven innings. The Owls lone run came on a solo home run from Addison Kachnik in the fourth inning. Southern Oregon advances as the lone undefeated team and will play in the championship game tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., needing one win to claim the title. Oregon Tech drops to the elimination bracket and will play at 11 a.m. tomorrow against the winner of Game seven (College of Idaho).
No. 5 seed College of Idaho def. No. 2 seed Eastern Oregon University, 4-2
College of Idaho earned a 4-2 victory over Eastern Oregon to continue its run in the CCC Softball Championship Tournament. The Yotes scored consistently, plating one run during the even innings before Madelyn Powell added a solo home run in the seventh for insurance. Chloe Flerchinger led College of Idaho with a perfect day at the plate, recording three hits and two runs. Kina Watts earned the complete game victory in the circle. The Mounties scored both of its runs in the sixth inning while attempting a late comeback. Raygun Klippert led the Mounties with two hits while Emily Barry and Allison Baumgart each recorded an RBI. EOU moves to 38-11 overall and now awaits its national postseason fate. College of Idaho, after winning two elimination games in the same day, moves on to face Oregon Tech tomorrow at 11 a.m. for a chance to play Southern Oregon in the championship game.
