KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw six teams ranked in the NAIA Volleyball Coaches Top 25 Preseason Poll, released Wednesday by the national office.
Eastern Oregon University earned the No. 2 spot after posting a 32-3 record last season. The Mountaineers welcome back 12 players, including four starters, while adding six newcomers. EOU will open the season in Tennessee at the Phoenix Classic against Columbia International (S.C.).
Corban University landed at No. 5 following a 27-6 campaign last season. The Warriors return to the national rankings behind the leadership of Emma Bischoff, Kendra Bittle and Nadeiah Howard. Corban opens its season August 20 in Sioux City, Iowa, against Morningside (Iowa).
College of Idaho earned the No. 18 spot after finishing 21-10 last season, followed by Bushnell University at No. 19 with a 22-13 record. Southern Oregon University landed at No. 22 after going 16-12, while Lewis-Clark State College rounded out the CCC contingent at No. 23 following an 18-9 season.
With six teams ranked among the NAIA’s Top 25, the Cascade Conference enters another exciting season with a strong presence on the national stage.
