CORVALLIS, Ore. –
The following 11 Cascade Collegiate Conference student-athletes have been recognized as the CCC Players of the Week for their performances during competition from September 7 – 13, 2026.
Men’s Cross Country – Runner
(RV) Northwest University’s Josiah Jaquith was named the CCC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Jaquith, a junior from Kirkland, Wash., had an outstanding run at the UPS Invite. He completed the 5K in 14:59.4 to win the race. His performance set a new Northwest program record while also leading the Eagles to a team victory.
Women’s Cross Country – Runner
Northwest University’s Rachel Elliott was named the CCC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Elliott, a senior from Lynwood, Wash., had a terrific opening at the UPS Invite. She finished in fourth place during the 5K with a time of 18:47.3 against 43 total runners.
Men’s Golf – Golfer
No. 15-ranked University of British Columbia’s Jake Houston was named the CCC Men’s Golfer of the Week.
Houston, a junior from Pointe-Claire, Quebec, opened the season with a standout performance at the Oregon Tech Fall Invitational. He carded 201 strokes over 54 holes to establish a new CCC scoring record and helped the Thunderbirds capture the team title by four strokes. Houston also earned individual medalist honors, winning by three strokes.
Women’s Golf – Golfer
No. 16-ranked Lewis-Clark State’s Isabella Barquet was named the CCC Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Barquet, a senior from Cordoba, Mexico, delivered a standout performance at the Oregon Tech Fall Invitational. She was the only women’s golfer to finish under par, carding a 1-under total for the tournament. Barquet fired a career-best 3-under 69 in the final round to climb two spots and claim the individual title. Her 1-under tournament score also marked the best 36-hole total of her career.
Men’s Soccer – Defensive Player
Corban University’s Rylan Davidson was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Davidson, a sophomore goalkeeper from Salem, Ore., continued his strong play to help the Warriors close out the preseason with a victory. He recorded five saves against NCAA Division III Lewis & Clark while posting his third consecutive clean sheet, allowing Corban to enter CCC play undefeated.
Men’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Northwest University’s Matthew Ludlow was named the CCC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Ludlow, a senior forward from Gig Harbor, Wash., led the Eagles to a 2-1 victory over Simpson University. He scored both goals for an impressive .750 shot on goal percentage.
Women’s Soccer – Defensive Player
The Evergreen State College’s Melina Grijalva was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Grijalva, a junior goalkeeper from Lacey, Wash., helped the Geoducks secure a 1-1 draw against Simpson University. She played 45 minutes in goal, recording seven saves without allowing a goal during her time on the field.
Women’s Soccer – Offensive Player
Carroll College’s Rachel McAllister was named the CCC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
McAllister, a junior forward from Brier, Wash., scored both of the Fighting Saints’ goals on the week. She found the net in Carroll’s 1-1 draw against OUAZ before scoring the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory over Whitworth.
Volleyball – Attacker
No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon University’s Brooke Womack was named the CCC Attacker of the Week for the second time this season.
Womack, a senior outside hitter from Sandy, Ore., delivered a stellar weekend for EOU. She totaled 25 kills (4.17 k/s) for an impressive .444 attack percentage. She also added 10 digs and five service aces in the Mounties sweeps over No. 18-ranked Southern Oregon University and Oregon Tech.
Volleyball – Defender
No. 9-ranked College of Idaho’s Cora Young was named the CCC Defender of the Week.
Young, a senior middle blocker from Emmett, Idaho, powered the Yotes to the program's best start. She tallied 16 kills on a .300 hitting percentage while adding 16 blocks during C of I’s victories over No. 18-ranked Southern Oregon University and Oregon Tech.
Volleyball – Setter
No. 9-ranked College of Idaho’s Shaynee McWilliams was named the CCC Setter of the Week for the third time this season.
McWilliams, a sophomore setter from Meridian, Idaho, set the Yotes off to a historic start. She recorded an incredible 85 assists (9.44 a/s) and 25 digs (2.78 d/s) in wins over No. 18-ranked Southern Oregon University and Oregon Tech.
