CORVALLIS, Ore. – In the latest edition of the CCC Podcast: Cascade Connects, Commissioner Rob Cashell talks with Northwest University women’s soccer student-athlete Hailey Deese, who serves as a CCC and NAIA Association of Student-Athletes (ASA) representative.
Deese has been an active voice for student-athletes at both the conference and national levels, including serving as the 2026-27 CCC ASA Chair. The ASA works to advocate for student-athletes, promote opportunities, protect student-athlete welfare, and provide a connection between student-athletes and conference administration.
Cashell and Deese discuss the role of the ASA, the recent ASA and Senior Woman Leader Summit, and the importance of bringing student-athletes, Senior Woman Leaders, and athletics administrators together to share ideas, build relationships, and work toward continued growth across their institutions and the conference.
Hear from Deese about her experience at Northwest, her journey as a student-athlete and leader, her involvement with the ASA, and how connecting student-athletes and athletics leaders can help strengthen the collegiate athletics experience.
