DUPONT, Wash. – A record-setting performance by the Lady Owls helped Oregon Tech claim the team championships at the Grisham Memorial Shootout, hosted by Saint Martin's, at The Home Course.
OIT (298-293 – 591) set a new school-record with a 5-over-par team score in today's final round, with their final 36-hole score besting the previous school mark by six strokes. The Lady Owls previously shot an 8-over-par team score in Round 3 of the 2025 Firestorm Fall Classic, with the previous team record of 597 was set at the 2018 OIT Fall Invitational at the Running Y Resort.
Facing seven NCAA Division II and, two NCAA Division III and two Canadian programs, the Owls finished in a tie with Seattle Pacific (304-287 – 591) to close the event. The team tiebreak was the score not used in Round 2 among the team fivesome, which both schools dropped a 78, with the second tiebreak the dropped score from Round 1, where Alyssa Kauleinamoku's 79 bested the 84 of SPU's Anika Schau, handing Tech the trophy.
Both teams finished 19 strokes ahead of two teams – George Fox (309-301 – 610) and Simon Fraser (309-301 – 610).
Sydney Dick (72-69 – 141) earned runner-up honors after shooting a final round 3-under-par 69 – joining Quincy Beyrouty and Payton Canon as the only OIT players to have multiple career rounds of 69-or-better. Dick finished one shot behind medalist Emma Wargum (70-70 – 140) of SPU.
Madie Hepner (75-73 – 148) finished seventh overall after a final round 73, Madison Dick (75-75 – 150) was 13th, with Kali Rowe (76-78 – 154) in 24th and Kauleinamoku (79-76 – 155) in 28th among the 70-player field.
The Lady Owls will have next week off in preparation for the RCA Electric Invite in Monterey, Calif.
