CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 19-ranked Oregon Tech women's golf team has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Team of the Week after capturing the team championship at the Grisham Memorial Shootout at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash.
The Owls finished at 19-over-par 591 (298-293), tying NCAA Division II Seattle Pacific for the top team score before winning the championship on the tiebreaker. Oregon Tech's final-round 293 marked a new school record for a 36-hole team score, surpassing the previous record by six strokes.
Competing against seven NCAA Division II teams, two NCAA Division III teams and two Canadian programs, Oregon Tech held a five-stroke advantage after the opening round before closing out the tournament with the championship.
Sydney Dick paced the Owls individually, finishing runner-up at 3-under-par 141 (72-69). Dick carded a final-round 69, joining Quincy Beyrouty and Payton Canon as the only Oregon Tech golfers with multiple career rounds of 69 or better.
Madie Hepner finished seventh at 4-over-par 148 (75-73), while Madison Dick placed 13th at 6-over-par 150 (75-75). Kali Rowe finished 24th at 10-over-par 154 (76-78), and Alyssa Kauleinamoku placed 28th at 11-over-par 155 (79-76).
The Owls will return to action at the RCA Electric Invite in Monterey, Calif.
