About Eastern Oregon

EOU was founded in 1929 as a teachers college and today serves as a regional university and center for education, culture and scholarship. EOU is located in La Grande, Ore., on I-84, 259 miles east of Portland and 177 miles west of Boise, Idaho. EOU offers 23 bachelor’s and three master’s degree programs.
