Courtney Blumer was named the Director of Communications in December of 2022.

A Shoreview, Minnesota native, Blumer is a 2022 graduate of Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) earning degrees in Communications and Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. She was named the top student in both majors while graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors.

In addition to her stellar academic resume, Blumer was a member of the softball team during her time at Cardinal Stritch. Playing outfield and second base, the four-year starter helped the Wolves to a 30-13 record in her senior season. In April she was honored as the female student-athlete of the year for her exemplary performance in academics, athletics, and community service. Blumer was also a three-time NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete and a member of her department's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
 
On top of the heavy academic and athletic load, Blumer served as an Athletics Communications Assistant from January 2019-May 2022. In this role, she was responsible for the creation and monitoring of content for various social media platforms, webpage management, writing, and editing game day releases and programs, as well as, providing additional support to the Director of Communications as needed.
